Unfortunately scammers are having a lot of ground in our dolly world. What can you do to not become a victim to this?
❤️ Buy from a reputable artist directly
🧡 Dive into their work, posts and reviews and contact them. Have some conversation before adopting a little one
💛 NEVER use PayPal’s Friends & Family to somebody you don’t know. You are not covered in that case
❤️ If you decide to purchase a baby from a mommy, let them make a video for you. A video with them holding the baby and with specific questions answered or performed. For example; can you lay a spoon next to the baby while you video it. This can help you ensure that person is really in possession of the baby
🧡 Become a member of scammer groups on Facebook and scan the name in the search engine if you aren’t familiar with the seller.
Somebody has been scammed last week with this picture. The buyer asked for a safety picture with a smiley face on it, so the scammer photoshopped that in there too.
Afterwards a quick search in scammer groups answered for me that this lady is in fact known for being a scammer. It is shocking however how ‘good’ safety pictures can be photoshopped and how aware you have to be every time.
